It's 4:30am here at the Duplico Media HQ and our team of highly trained monkeys has already finished editing ALL the photos from the Tawa College school ball tonight!
We did say they would be live at 7pm tonight, HOWEVER... As if we can get 150 likes on our latest update on the Duplico Media facebook page we will set the photos live... or at 7pm on Sunday, which ever comes first.

School Balls 2011
We have just launched our 2011 pricing packages for the school ball season. You will notice we've now reduced the cost of our prices by $2 per person! You still get the great service that 16 Wellington schools got in 2010 - but at a reduced cost! Look out for our awesome goodie boxes heading out to schools this week. Make sure you unwrap it though, can't promise there will be any lollies left in the box after the rest of your ball committee has got to it.

Printing Facilities Down
Unfortunately our printing facilities are located in the South Island in Christchurch. Due to the damage from the earthquake over the weekend our printer is currently not outputting any jobs. While you can still place orders through our website, please note that the delivery date might be a few weeks.

Missing HIBS Photos
Unfortunately we somehow managed to miss 350 photos (between 10:45 and 11:40) on Saturday night when uploading them to our website. The missing photos are now being uploaded and will be live as soon as someone from the school has approved them - hopefully this will be tonight, but may be early tomorrow morning. Add us on facebook and we'll let you know as soon as they're ready for you.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the DVD's did not get delivered on time - Because of this we have now posted the video on our website, and you are able to share this with friends & family. You may also download all the high-res photos from our website for free. To do this, select "high-res download $0" when viewing a photo and save this to your cart. Once you have selected all the photos you would like, go to your checkout and choose "Bank Deposit" as they payment method. Your photos will then be emailed you directly. We are also giving away four free 4x6 prints to every couple - to redeem this offer please email us sh09@duplico.co.nz with your full name.

Xmas Hours
While we are an online store, and orders can be placed any time of the day, any day of the week, from anywhere in the world... We still need to manually print photos and dispatch them to our lovely customers. Unfortunately our team of highly trained monkeys are having a bit of a break over Xmas/New Years. Merry Christmas
Just a quick message from the whole team here at Duplico, we all wish you a very merry Christmas! We have really enjoyed capturing all your events this year, and we are already looking forward to 2010!
Duplico Media is now working very closely with SnapStar, so this is why in the past few months we haven't featured many events on our website, as they've been on SnapStar instead.

Extreme Dance Performance
Over the past week we've been photographing the children that took part in Extreme Dance's biennial performance at the Southward Car Museum. We're currently working through the photos we took at the full dress rehersal on Wednesday, and the opening night show on Friday night - click here to go to the photos.

Lamb & Calf Day
Pauatahanui School held its annual school gala "Lamb & Calf Day" and invited Duplico Media along to have a stall doing family portraits. We had a great day in the sun shooting all the lovely families that came through.

Order Delays
Our sincere apologies for those customers who are still awaiting their prints over the past few weeks. Our printer in Auckland is currently moving premises, and we're expecting them to be back up and running by the start of next week. We will then be cranking through the back-log of orders we have, and getting these to you as soon as possible.

Oh Look! A new Duplico Website!
Its been quite a while in the making, but we've finally gone live with our new website (v3 if anyone is counting - we are). We did our best to listen to what everyone liked and disliked about the old site, and have made huge improvements behind the scenes. In short, everything from ordering to receiving should now run more smoothly.
As with all transitions, there is probably a couple of bugs we missed. To fix this, we created a new email address: support@duplico.co.nz which can be used if you have any site-related problems. Over the next week we'll keep an especially close eye on this, so you can be assured of quick responses!
We hope the new website makes things easier for you. If not, feel free to let us know what else we can fix!
As well as this transition to a new site, we've had two huge balls this weekend and are still working through the photos! If we're running a little behind on any order placed in the past week don't worry, we'll be getting to it in the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience!

Joe's Garage Opening & uStay Hostel Ball
Our photography team was out in force over the weekend in all corners of Wellington City. From a day of family photoshoots in Mana, to photos at Staglands in the Akatarawa's, to the uni hostel "uStay" ball at the Westpac Stadium, to the grand opening of Wellington's newest cafe "Joe's Garage".

Big Sat Night! Super Club & St Orans Ball
Well, if you were out on Saturday night for either Super Club '09 or the St Orans School Ball @ the Duxton Hotel, we hope you had just as amazing time as we did capturing it! Comedy Festival is over!
Another year of comedy is over, with the festival coming to a close on Sunday. Our photographers attended 44 shows over the festival (There were only about 50 in Wellington, so we did very well). As you would expect, with 44 events, and a heap of photos to sort, we haven't had chance to upload all the acts yet.

First week of comedy festival
Wow. What a week. Our photographers have been flat out attending all the comedy festival acts from the first week. We haven't taken a huge number of photos as there's only so many photos you can take of a guy (or girl for that fact) standing behind a microphone.
Check out the events page to see all the shows that we've attended. Looking forward to another two weeks of laughter. (not that our office isn't normally full of fun and laughter).

Wayne Brady
Our lead photographer, who is ironically called Brady, has just returned from the Wayne Brady show at the Wellington Town Hall. Wayne put on a great improve show with lots of audience participation. If the rest of the comedy festival is outstanding as Wayne was tonight - New Zealand is in for a good month of laughter.

NZ International Comedy Festival 2009: First Laughs & VIP After Party
The NZ International Comedy Festival for 2009 started off with a bang with First Laughs last night, the first official act of the festival. Was a great opportunity to get a short glimpse of some of the key comedians in this years festival.
We also had one of our photographers at the VIP after party to snap a few of the comedians enjoying a beverage after the show.

VicCom Boat Cruise
Our team just got back from an enjoyable cruise around Wellington harbour as part of Vic Uni's Commerce Association "VicCom"s annual boat cruise.
Around 120 guests were toured around Wellington harbour on a still crisp night. Alcohol was flowing and many were getting their dance on with Jay Oh on the decks with some fine tunes. Lonely Island's hit "I'm on a boat" made several appearances.

NZ International Comedy Festival 2009
Great News! Duplico has received Media Rights to cover this years New Zealand International Comedy Festival for 2009. Our photographers will be out in force covering all the major events (and a lot of the low key ones too). Make sure you grab one of them for a photo if you see them out and about, and then check back here later to check out the photographs.
Danny Bhoy, Dylan Moran, First Laughs, Late Laughs, and Wayne Brady are just a few of the acts we will be capturing.

Chilton St James Ball

Homegrown
Wellington's waterfront became the stomping ground for thousands of music lovers on Saturday for Vodafone Homegrown.
Whether you were moshing at the Jim Beam Rock Stage, head-nodding at the Cadbury Moro Dub & Roots Stage, buzzing out at the SmokeFree Electronic Stage, enjoying the tunes at the Nokia Indie Stage, or simply just kicking it back at the Amphitheater Stage - An amazing time was had by all.
Vodafone Homegrown pulled together an epic selection of the best bands and DJ's in the country and was arguably the best kiwi rock, indie, dub, roots, reggae and dance line-up ever seen in one place at one time.
One of the highlights on the days events, was the performance by Blindspott, who reformed just to play to their fans at Homegrown. Blindspott's front man, Damian Alexander, said that he and the band had been looking forward to this concert since their announcement in November 2008 that the band would reunite for the homegrown line up for one show only.

What a huge weekend! We had three events in the city on simultaneously, and our team was out in full force.
